El Colegio Oficial de Guías Turísticos de les Illes Balears en conjunción con CEFAPIT tiene el honor de anunciar a la comunidad de guías de turismo la celebración de:
VII CONGRESO NACIONAL DE CEFAPIT
FORO EUROPEO DE GUIAS DE TURISMO
JUNTO CON LA AGM DE FEG
Que tendrán lugar en Palma de Mallorca entre el 19 y el 23 de noviembre de 2008.
El fin de este evento es que sea un Foro de debate para analizar los retos que afectan al futuro de nuestra profesión. La preparación del guía de turismo como el camino a seguir para la mejor interpretación del patrimonio, el importante papel del guía de turismo para aumentar la concienciación de la sociedad sobre el turismo sostenible y el uso correcto de las nuevas tecnologías.
Aquellos que asistan a este evento también tendrán la posibilidad de disfrutar de la cultura, historia y gastronomía de estas islas.
CEFAPIT, como Federación Española de las Asociaciones de Guías de Turismo www.cefapit.es, junto al Colegio Oficial de Guías Turísticos de les Illes Balears www.colegioguiasib.com son los organizadores de este Foro que tendrá lugar junto al VII Congreso Nacional de CEFAPIT.
La AGM 2008 de FEG también tendrá lugar el 22 y 23 de noviembre.

Además contaremos con la colaboración de Gobierno de las Islas Baleares, los Consells Insulares, el Ayuntamiento de Palma, la Universidad de las Islas Baleares, el Fomento de Turismo y otros estamentos públicos y privados.
En nombre del Comité Organizador y de CEFAPIT queremos aprovechar la ocasión para extender esta invitación a toda la comunidad europea de guías de turismo y a los profesionales y académicos en el campo de esta actividad a participar en este Foro.

COME TO MALLORCA IN NOVEMBER
Dear Colleague
This November the Spanish Association of Tourist Guides (CEFAPIT) celebrates its 30th birthday on the Balearic Island on the island of Mallorca and you're invited to join in the celebrations. From 19 to 23 November the Mallorcan Tourist Guides' Association have arranged events that will showcase the island alongside a European Tourist Guide Forum - the first of its kind. FEG will also be present. It's 2008 Annual General Meeting will take place over that week end and, as another first, FEG will be offering training seminars developed by its training committee which is chaired by past chairman Richard Skinner.
Mallorca never fails to impress. The island's mild climate and good beaches have made it one of Spain's top package tour destinations. But there is much culture to experience too and it is said that no other European island has a wider range of scenery. To see Mallorca through the eyes of our Mallorcan colleagues will be a real treat whilst the content of the Forum and Training Seminars will be an excellent way of carrying out personal continuing professional development. From magnificent caves to the outstanding Cathedral in Palma de Mallorca, from networking with your European colleagues to taking a seminar on the Art of Guiding or, topically, on Guiding Visitors with Special Needs, you're invited to take an Autumn break and enjoy Mallorcan hospitality. You'll find all the information and booking details on both the CEFAPIT and FEG website.

FEG is delighted to be able to hold its AGM and Seminars in Mallorca and is most grateful to our Spanish colleagues for inviting us.
